RiMEMBRA

🇮🇹 Ricordi in forma di scatto si succedono in RiMEMBRA, nel tentativo di restituire al pubblico un'identità propria ricavata dai corpi di terzi. Matteo Piacenti raccoglie quattro anni di esplorazione, scoperta e modellazione di sé stesso, compiute nel profondo degli altri per poi specchiarsi sulla loro superficie.

Parole chiave sono essenzialità, materia e sincerità, diluite lungo un dialogo tra linee e carne, vuoti e riflessi. Ne deriva un autoritratto in costruzione, dai forti tratti distintivi: la ricerca della struttura attraverso la naturalezza, il tratto scultoreo definito in lingue di luce, la massa emergente da uno sfondo abissale, l'intensità di uno sguardo che spesso fa da punto focale fra grovigli e armonie di membra.
Perché è arte, ma anche corpo.
O meglio: è poi arte, e prima corpo.

🇬🇧 Memories in the form of snapshots follow one another in RiMEMBRA, in an attempt to give back to the public an identity of its own, extracted from the bodies of others. Matteo Piacenti collects four years of exploration, discovery and modelling of himself, carried out in the depths of others and then mirrored on their surface.

Key words are essentiality, matter and sincerity, diluted along a dialogue between lines and flesh, voids and reflections. The result is a self-portrait under construction, with strong distinctive features: the search for structure through naturalness, the sculptural line defined in tongues of light, the mass emerging from an abysmal background, the intensity of a gaze that often acts as a focal point between tangles and harmonies of limbs.
Because it is art, but also body.
Or rather: it is body, and then art.
